Longevity is attached to honouring one’s parents (Exodus 20:12). Our parents are to be highly esteemed for our well-being. God expects fathers to command their children in the way of the Lord. Fathers are influencers and children are learning from what you do more than what you say. The Patriarchs had greater experiences of God down their generations. Teaching children in the way of the Lord is beneficial for you and them. Don’t provoke your children to wrath as fathers. Teach and mentor them in God’s way.
